Allan’s career background is in engineering; having completed a craft engineering apprenticeship he now has over 25 years’ experience of working in education Facilities Management and Estates. Allan is also the Health and Safety appointed person for the trust and is responsible for keeping our schools safe, warm and dry.

Allan has delivered numerous building condition and decarbonisation projects for the trust but is most passionate about delivering projects that enhance the learning and teaching environments for our pupils and colleagues. Allan believes that fixing the roofs and windows and ensuring the heating works in our school buildings is important, but remodelling and refurbishing classrooms is much more rewarding, especially seeing the impact on teaching and learning.
