Our Trustees and Trust Executive Group
Trust Strategic Leadership Team

Gemma is an experienced primary leader and Headteacher of Chadsmead Primary Academy, where she has worked since 2017. She has extensive experience across primary education and has completed the National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership (NPQEL). She also works beyond her own school as a RISE Attendance and Behaviour Hub Lead, supporting leaders and schools with sustainable improvement.
Gemma’s leadership is rooted in relationships, trust and a strong sense of collective responsibility. She believes effective leadership is about creating the conditions in which people can succeed: setting high expectations, being clear and consistent, and ensuring people feel supported and valued. Fairness, openness and transparency are central to her approach, alongside a belief that the strongest schools are built when leaders, staff, families and communities work in genuine partnership.
Above all, Gemma believes education should open doors that children may not yet know exist. She is passionate about ensuring children experience a rich range of opportunities that broaden their horizons, build confidence and help them discover talents, ambitions and possibilities they may never previously have imagined for themselves.
Gemma is looking forward to bringing these values to her role as Primary Quality Assurance Lead and to the opportunity to work alongside school leaders across the Trust. She is committed to building strong and trusting professional relationships, celebrating what is working well and asking thoughtful and appropriately challenging questions to support continued improvement. Her approach to quality assurance will be open, collaborative and supportive, while maintaining a clear focus on securing the very best experiences and outcomes for children.
